Case Studies
1. Gas Consulting, an Italian company based in Milan needed help with CO2 management using lithium hydroxide and oxygen generators in a military shelter.
Molecular Products suggested soda lime as a safer alternative and that Sofnolime® 797 Grade offered an equivalent performance to lithium hydroxide at a lower cost and with a lower biohazard risk.
2. DCNS manufactures diesel-electric/hybrid AIP submarines. During trials for the Royal Malaysian Navy the performance of the CO2 removal units was too low.
Molecular Products, working with DCNS showed that it was the low flow rate through the absorbers that was not recycling enough air to maintain the required CO2 concentration levels.
Increasing the flow rate restored the CO2 levels to operating specifications.
