Molecular Products wins contract from UK MOD to supply Oxygen Generators

In the past year the UK MOD set new exacting standards surrounding the design and use of chemical oxygen generators onboard the Royal Navy submarine fleet. In response, Molecular Products have launched the latest addition to their range of oxygen generators; the Milspec MPOG (Multi Purpose Oxygen Generator). The generator reaches new standards of safety in the provision of oxygen during routine and emergency situations.
Following an initial invitation from the UK MOD and against strong international competition, Molecular Products was successful in securing the strategically significant contract, worth in excess of £4 million. ‘The contract is a huge achievement for the organisation and reinforces our status as a global leader in the provision of chemical oxygen generators for use onboard submarines' quoted Ian McKernan, Group CEO.
The MPOG technology encompasses increased innovation and advanced safety features to satisfy the most stringent of requirements. The generator is not restricted to use in a military application, it is highly suitable for industrial safety markets including mine refuges.
